The Environmental Ethics Network and Environmental Ethics: Examining Your Connection to the Environment and Your Community are a joint project of the Goldman Environmental Prize and The Video Project aimed at providing tools and support to help educators teach their students how to make ethical decisions about the environment.
Our mission is to provide educators with the tools to connect with one another to foster the next generation of environmental leaders.
The curriculum and video series Environmental Ethics is a fully standards-based course supplement that uses the real-life stories of environmental heroes from around the world to illustrate how people make the choice to stand up for what they believe is right in their own communities. Focused on critical thinking and personal engagement, the curriculum asks students to think about the way they form opinions and make judgments about the environment and the needs of modern society.
The Environmental Ethics Network serves as a support system for educators teaching the curriculum and provides them and their students a forum to further engage in the material.
The curriculum is specifically geared toward high school students, but may be tailored to fit a variety of audiences. All educators are encouraged to join the Environmental Ethics Network to take part in this important project.
